P&A Alum Awarded Sloan Fellowship

jia-li.pngLeo (Jia) Li, Assistant Professor of Physics at Brown University and former student of Physics and Astronomy Professor William Halperin, has been awarded an Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Fellowship for 2023.

Professor Li received his PhD from Northwestern's Department of Physics and Astronomy in 2014 and has been at Brown University since 2019.

In the words of the foundation, “The Sloan Research Fellowship Program recognizes and rewards outstanding early-career faculty who have the potential to revolutionize their fields of study.” Professor Li will receive $75,000 over two years that will be used to advance his research.
