P&A Grad Students Receive NSF Awards

Three graduate students from the Department of Physics & Astronomy have been awarded Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) awards from the National Science Foundation. The department extends congratulations to the following recipients:
- Chloe Calderon (working with Adilson Motter)
- Nick Kaaz (working with Sasha Techkhovskoy)
- Maura Lally (plans to work with Wen-fai Fong)
The department would also like to congratulate two additional graduate students who received honorable mentions:
- Miguel Martinez (working with Fred Rasio)
- Jillian Rastinejad (working with Wen-fai Fong)
The five-year Graduate Research Fellowship Program is awarded to "outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported STEM disciplines who are pursuing research-based master’s and doctoral degrees at accredited US institutions."
