On the weekend of January 20th, a group of Northwestern physics students attended the Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics at Argonne National Laboratory in Illinois. This was a 3-day conference that included multiple talks that ranged from physics career panels to research done by students. There was also a poster session where five of the participants could get a prize based on their poster presentation.

Maria Fernandez Davila represented Northwestern with a poster about her summer research project at CU Boulder on "Building an external cavity diode laser for nondestructive imaging of ultracold molecules" and won 4th place in this contest.

Congratulations to Maria!
