André de Gouvêa Elected Vice-Chair of APS DPF

degouvea-168x210.jpgPhysics and Astronomy Professor André de Gouvêa has been elected the Vice-Chair of the American Physical Society’s Division of Particles and Fields (DPF). As a Chair-line member of the DPF, Professor de Gouvêa will go on to serve as Chair of the division’s committee in 2024.

In his new role as Vice-Chair, Professor de Gouvêa will be responsible for leading the DPF’s portion of the Scientific Program of the April American Physical Society meeting as well as the Division of Particles and Fields meeting, in addition to the other responsibilities of the Vice-Chair.
